    Hi,
I need some help with my laptop problem. I bought the ASUS M50VN... but... as i dont like windows vista, i decided to change the OS to Windows XP SP3.
As some of you know, this ASUS Laptop doesnt load the Windows XP Bootable CD to format Vista and install the XP because during the CD read we see a
    bluescreen error.
Well... i searched in some websites and foruns about this problem and i found some info in Driverlot.com and in the Asus Forum:
    http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20070731141139875&board_id=3&model=G1S&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
    http://forums.driverlot.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3 - Comment nr. 6 by DriverMaster.
Well, i chose the Asus Instructions but with a diffrent SATA Driver( http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?ProductID=2101&DwnldID=16013&lang=eng)
because is updated and have Intel 4 Series Chipset Compatibility... and i burned the Windows XP successful... After that, i run the bootable cd and it
    worked fine.
The problem was after the Windows XP Intalled, when the Windows XP SO is finishing the install, the System reboots to run by the first time the XP SO...
and when it runs for the first time, the blue screen error appear. :(
The blue screen appears always when the Screen shows me the XP Symbol... well its before that because i see an only seccound of the XP symbol and after
that second i got the blue screen error and it goes reboot.

What is the solution to this problem? help me fast pls

Sry my bad English... if you do not understand it i will try to explain you it again.

    Best Regards,
    portela

The M50VN is not intended to support XP. If you do get it to work and ever send the machine in for service, Asus will likely wipe the HDD and install Vista again as originally intended. You will be two generations behind with your OS when Windows 7 comes out. Like my ex tell me: quit living in the past!
