Hello, i think this only happened to me... so far at least..
after 3 weeks of use, last weekend, my notebook went to sleep fine and then last sunday it woke up no recognizing the 2nd hardrive..
actually it does recognize on the bios but right before it starts loading windows it resets and then it doesn't recognize it...
    can someone help me?
at elast tell me if there is 2 intel ich9 sata controllers on the device manager?

You say your OS resets? Do you have your OS on the second hard drive?

I'm not sure I'm understanding you.

So you noticed your second HDD wasn't detected.
    You reboot. BIOS detects it.
And then you say right before it starts loading windows it resets. As in the OS resets, and you can't enter Windows? Or do you mean when you boot into windows the second HDD doesn't come up?

Ah, I think you mean it POSTs twice. Sounds like the infamous BIOS glitch.

Try this becofore you clock out:

    Turn off the laptop.
    Turn on, and enter BIOS.
I forget the exact wording, but load/restore user default settings.
    Save and exit
When the computer POSTS, enter BIOS again.
    Load/restore user default settings.
    Save and exit.

    That should fix it.

I had that problem when I installed a second hard drive in my RX05. Just some random glitch.

    Glad to see it worked.
