Got my lovelly new laptop yesterday, all is good except 1 problem i can figure out.

When in insert the HD tray into the optical bay i get a post error that the harddisk i corrupt or something, this is not an error for the internal internal drive.
In Bios the only HD detected is the one in the optical drive so there isnt the option to boot from the other HD.
Anyone know what could be wrong? How to fix it?
    Thanks,

    Jozi

Make sure the jumper on the drive is set for slave. Since you can't see the main drive in bios, it may be conflicting.

I had taught of that but with the lack of jumpres that came with the laptop i just assumed it wasnt needed.
I should have a spare ones from my old mobo lying around somewhere.

And here was me trhinking it fried it because i flicked the CD audio switch on the side.

Thanks for the reply, im off to try it.
