I just purchased the headset from Woot a week ago for $30, gotta say, very comfortable, good sound quality, and extra long cord makes it a good buy.

 

I also caught the Woot special! I'm wondering if I should use the Woot coupon they gave us to get the USB soundcard/adapter or save it for something else. Does the USB soundcard sound better than the built in sound on a V1s? If so then I will get the soundcard. Oh and I scored 3 Bags of Crap tonight! Woohoo! I know that's off topic but I've been trying for the longest time to get those Bandoliers and finally scored!

 

Not too crazy about the wired headset. A good point rasied by asus "bluetooth headset lacks the quality". not too sure about that but i guess its true. Definitely not crazy about the wifi router. how many people here need that router?

You cant really get it separately. The special skus come with the headset. We dont just get a bunch of them to give out for free. 1 headset for every notebook we buy.

I bought my G2S-B1 from NCIX Canada on the 31st of October and didn't receive a pair of Steel Sound Headphones. Who do you recommend I contact about this? ASUS or NCIX?

I agree. I got in on this deal when I bought my F3SV-B3 earlier this month. These headphones retail for $99, and you're basically getting them for free, so it's not something I was going to argue with. But, I find them to be very nice headphones and suit my purpose of music and gaming quite well; now if I could just get my laptop to work.......

I ordered a G1S-B2 from Canada Computers and i received the headset. There is nothing special about it though... its not loud enough and lacks bass... but its free right?

 

Steelsound and Router bundles have ended. Currently there are MIR forms for select models until Jan 31st
