    Hello,

I've got the asus X5MSV and I'm running into a lot of problems when i'm using more than 4GB of RAM.
Whenever I add 4GB to make a total of 8GB I get random BSOD's, usually with the error code: pfn_list_corrupt.
I've ran memtest to verify that it was not a faulty RAM-stick and even replaced it with other memory but to no avail.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I really need help with this.
4GB works just fine, no BSOD's in sight...

    Thanks for any help,

    Vital

you tested each stick one at a time ?

how about swapping positions of the 2 sticks when you have both plugged in?

can you loosen timings in bios ?

what brands are your sticks ?

Yes I did, no errors tested each stick at least 7 hours on memtest.
Tried that, still the same results unfortunatly.
Corsair CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9, not sure if that helps any

I can't change timings in the BIOS nor can I change voltage or memspeed...
Thanks for any help provided, I guess I'm best of RMA'ing the laptop?

i would test one more time. each ram stick individually in each of the 2 ram slots.
so a total of 4 tests.
and one more extended test with both ram plugged in. See if you can get memtest error in dual channel, because I bet asus tech will run the memtest too, and if they can't detect error, they might return to you unfixed.

after memtest, if still bsod, rma laptop for bad mobo.
