thats rather ironic, that they sell a piece of equipment that can only be used in europe, and yet they dont ship to europe.

Wait, you only need a cable or prong adapter to use your US charger in Europe. The charger itself supports worldwide frequencies and voltages.

Namely, you need a cable with a European power plug; and with a "mickey mouse" plug on the other side, going into the adapter. You will find that in many European electronic and electrics stores. I think they go for about 10EUR.

Or you can just get a universal prong adapter but that usually won't have a live ground pin.

But why do you need a separate adapter for Europe? Is the old one broken? I don't think I see the whole picture.

If you simply need to plug your laptop into a European plug, you only need the adapter-to-wall cable with the European wall end. That's it. Plug the other end into the adapter.

If you for some reason (which is not clear to me) you require a new adapter (which is not European, US, or any other country -- it's universal; only the cables to the wall differ) then try asusparts.eu , or have a look at theFAQ in the ASUS Info Booth; there is a discussion about getting ASUS parts outside US.
