    Hello
I have a plain vx2 (NON VX2S) and I suspect that the memory and/or the processor are fried
Old ones are t7400 and 2 Gb of some sort of DDR (2, I believe)
Can anyone tell me with certainty what would be a better replacement processor without any compatibility issues
Also are there issues with 800FSB processors not working with 667FSB chipsets and/or memory clusters?
I would be interested in installing a t9500 and 4 Gb RAM in it but I don't want to purchase them if they will not work in my laptop
Already purchased new motherboard and graphics card, so I don't want to give up on this project
    Any help will be appreciated

Sometimes yes. You can check and see if the VX2 shipped (from asus) with an 800mhz FSB processor. If not, stick with the fastest 667fsb one you can find.
