I have been wondering this for a while, and after months of searching I have still not found an absolute answer to this question. Is there bluetooth on the best buy G71? Every post I found regarding it said that it does have it, but it is turned off in the bios and you just need to turn it on. But I found one post where the guy said that the bluetooth shares the same chip with the wifi and you can't use both at the same time. With a little bit of searching I was able to find the bluetooth panel on my laptop which did say it was off and was allowing me to turn it on. The questions I have are:
1. Are these people right? Is it just a matter of turning it on in the bios? If so, then is just turning it on in the bluetooth panel all I need to do?
2. Is that one poster right in the fact that I will not be allowed to use bluetooth and wifi at the same time?
3. If there really is no bluetooth, then what is the bluetooth panel for? (Only answer if answer to #1 is no)
4. Is it possible to add bluetooth to this laptop fairly easily? (Only answer if answer to #1 is no)

i use bluetooth and wifi at the same time, using the Asus software, with no problems...
i have the g71g-x3
edit: did not notice you are talking about the BB version. apologies -
i dont believe so
ill be receiving mine today though to confirm
you should be able to verify if you go to
my computer -> system properties -> device manager -
I don't think all the bb version installed any bluetooth module.
you can buy and install one i think. Try to ask the engineer of ASUS for the guide. and it should not be very difficult.
