hello guys, i am not such an expert for this, so i am wondering what is better? 1.8 Ghz T5600 or 2.0 Ghz T5500, what does T5600 or T5500 means.
PS. anybody has experience with Asus Z53JC-AP152C-A model or similar?
thanks

The T5500 is 1.66 GHz, and the T5600 is 1.83 GHz. The T5500 and T5600 are part of Intels Core 2 Duo range of processors. The more powerful ones include the T7200, T7400 and T7600. Generally, the T7200is considered the best in terms of price/performance ratio.
The difference between the T5500 and T5600 is very small. They will perform practically the same under tasks such as surfing the Internet and word processing. They will also performa the same in games, because that is normally graphics limited. If your tasks include encoding and video editing, then the T5600 may pull ahead, but not a lot, because of the slight clockspeed difference. -
Following on from Zero's comments above, if you are planning on very CPU intensive tasks like audio/video encoding, code compiling and the like then a T7 series CPU may be beneficial. The major difference between the T5 and T7 series Core 2 Duo is the T7 has double the onboard L2 cache, at 4MB versus 2MB for the T5.
1.8 Ghz T5600 or 2.0 Ghz T5500
