Talks about the desktop version of the EEE

Talks about the variants of the EEE(4g/8g). I dont see any mention of a 10"model

    Asus goal/vision for the EEE

However, confirmation of a 10" 8GB Eee has hit the news channels (Engadget, DT, etc), so it is probably coming, for a price of $499 or 599, I'd assume.

    Yeah i think your right.

The 8G-Version, which will contain a larger display with a screen diagonal of ten inches+8GB storage. I overlooked that part earlier.

I hope its has a 499 price tag too.

Yes, but they're all referencing the original derstandard.at article linked in the original post.

I'd like to see a second site - preferably eeepc.asus.com - validate this first.

Look at the first story at EEEuser.com, says this rumor is false. Who to beleive?

yeah, Asus isn't going to release a 10" model.

There was a german site (maybe the ones you listed) that assumed the 8gig model was going to be 10".

Asus denied this and we know the 8gig will be 7".

I personally find it much more likely they'll deny it until the day it appears as to not hurt the 7" sales. Maybe they don't want to talk about it until certain component prices stabilize? (PURE speculation)
