I have the blue one too
Got it from GentechPC and it arrived yesterday. One thing I have to point out is that the blue looks much darker in real life - almost a navy blue.

I've seen ppl order from multiple places and cancel the extra orders once they get a tracking number. Risky for sure.
-
yea..this laptop is truly a big hit in the market

You shouldn't worry about being scammed -

I have to chime in on this one, I got mine from jr.com (about 340 w/ LIVE Cashback)
I love this computer, it is really a great computer i love it, I have been finding myself using the computer more than my mbp. I will let something run on my mbp and type on this one... i love it. I took it to a meeting a few days ago and it was very nice and easy to use in a corner. Also the weight and battery make it an amazing system.
I am actually considering selling the macbook pro and just keeping this one. I have a Quad Core at work and we have like a million computers at home. -
wow.. I can't believe someone is willing to trade his mbp for this one

can we swap ssd into the 1000he? if yes how do we do that?

can this fit to the 1000HE:

Yeah, but using a $363 HDD in a $374 machine does not make a lot of sense to me...
If you want to make good use of those high-end Intel SSDs, the remaining parts of your system should be powerful. I think a high-end SSD in an ATOM platform is just a waste of money...

Funny thing is that I was always SO anti netbook, I had the U6s, but after using the 1000HE there is BIG difference.
They boot up faster (even when I tried to get the U6 to do that) and is very compact and the battery life is amazing. -

I prefer a prussian blue more than a persian blue like the one in the pictures; however, this doesn't really help prospective buyers at all.
But like uqmoore said, you could easily add a different color/design skin of your choosing. -
Well I don't know, skins just seem.. tacky or cheap.
I really liked in the pics how bright and metallic the blue was -

I am sure my dad will learn to love it as much as I did -
I find that I must make another random post about my 1000HE, there are two reasons for this post.
1. To talk about how killer the keyboard is on this thing.
2. To actually use this keyboard to see how fast I can type on it.
I am a keyboard junkie, I love trying out new keyboards, I think honestly I could be the best keyboard reviewer EVER. I always like to get new keyboards and try them out. When I go to Office Depot I will always type on the demo keyboards to try them out (its always something very random too... like I think this keyboard will be too slow for my uses) cheesy I know.
But this keyboard is very clean and easy to type on, I find it to honestly be as good as my U6s. It is slightly smaller, but that does not slow me down one bit. I have typed on:
MSI Wind - keys are a bit too cramped, placement of punctuation (,./) is not very good
ASUS 900 & 1000HA - Right shift key says it all (plus the 900 is just TOO small)
ACER Aspire One - Again the same issues of the MSI, plus I believe the mouse on that is total trash
Dell Mini 9 - Function keys are not dedicated, I am sorry I love using basic windows commands without it, no point.
This keyboard is really great, anyone that is worried that the keyboard will not bee good enough, I can tell you that is the least you should worry about.
I can honestly say this is one of the best keyboards out there, and can give some full size notebooks a run for their money (specifically ACER, COMPAQ, and if you give me some time, I will find a few more) i think I am starting to like it better than my MBP too...
I am becoming an ASUS fanboy... WATCH OUT APPLE!! -
The only thing the keyboard is missing is a full size right shift key.

I can't wait to get mine on Wednesday

I'm actually surprised that I've been using it so much. The nice thing is, when I get home from work, I don't have to plug it in the whole evening. I'll even sit it on the night stand and check email first thing in the morning, all before plugging it in again.
-
I should also add that another fun and useful feature about the 1000HE is the Mac-like multi-gesture touchpad

Id love to feel the new keyboard. I liked the 1000H keyboard and I fixed the shift key issue by using a program that autoloads with windows that let my up arrow key work as shift (and can toggle that on/off with a key press) but these keys look more flat. The longer battery life is a plus too.
Anybody with the 1000HE ever get hands on with the 1002HA? Thats the one I think I like the most in looks even though it does not have the "fixed" keyboard or long battery life.
1000HE Now In Stock at Amazon!!!! Even the Blue one!!! $374.00
