Which is the better netbook, I have narrowed my search down to these 2. I can't decide which is better though.

    Eee PC 1000 he

    Eee PC 1005 ha

    pick one :)

EDIT: that's interesting that the he is getting more votes, I thought the 1005 would be favored as it's a newer model

maybe because on the 1005 you can't change your hdd

I think Im going to buy the 1000he, it does what I want plus more.

I actually have the 1005, and would recommend it highly - I also like the design better than the 1000.

Just be careful as there are 3 different models out there at slightly different pricing and specs... -PUX is top end w/ Bluetooth, -VUX is mid, and -EUX only has 3 cell battery.

And yes, you CAN change the HDD on the 1005, you just have to take off the bottom chassis cover to do it (a few screws out and then easy access). It's the 1008 that you have to do a complete teardown in order to get to anything :(.

Bottom line, go with the 1000HE if you want the longest battery life. If you favor looks over battery life, then the 1005HA would be a better fit.

    It's a toss-up but I'd give a slight edge to the 1005HA. I wish they'd have it with a non-glossy lid though.

Do you have to remove any warrenty stickers to upgrade the HDD in the 1005ha?

I thought the 1005ha was advertised to have around 1 hour battery life more than the 100he?

The 1005HA, as ClearSkies said, has 3 different models. I've got the high-end one, and can easily pull 10.5 hours of battery life out of it, much more than the ~7 hours of the 1000HE. IMO, it's a better machine.

This is the one you want. And it's the same price as this.

thanks guys, I'm going with the 1005ha-p model
I found it for 365 USD on amazon and I am going to buy a 2 gb ram stick with it
    Gonna order it tomorrow afternoon

I have heard different things about changing the HDD but honestly I doubt I will be changing it and if I do then There are ways of not runing the warrenty stickers I have heard.
