Would you recommend the EEEPC 1000H? I am a college student I would use it mostly for taking notes in class, writing papers, and watching a few videos. It would not be my main system as I also have a Thinkpad T60 which is quite a bit beefier than the 1000H.

My main concern is the keyboard and how well the unit plays video.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Plays 720p for me without issues, 1080p is not going to happen.

I took a typing speed test and got over over 60 worlds per minute with it, so I can type almost full speed with it. The only "issue" is the right shift key being in an odd place. You adjust to it over time but you can also just remap the up arrow key to act as a 2nd shift key like me and that fixes it very well.

There is one other ultra portable that has a better keyboard but it cost more and overall is not as nice, so the EEE 1000H comes with my highest recommendation.

I am going to try to get the first part of my review up tonight if I find the time (very busy) and then will add one section to it each day until it is complete. If you read my reviews they are very long and include various how-to's and guides. For the EEE 1000H I have compiled even more information than I did on the G50V so its going to have a lot of interesting stuff.
