i have a 1025CE, intel atom N2800, which according to intel website, will take up to 4gb memory.

i bought a 4gb stick of kingston, 1.5V, PC3 10600, slotted it in. Pressed power button, and i get nothing. JUst a black screen.
Slotted the original 1gb stick back in, and it all works.

i dont get it. is it compatibility? i bought the exact spec of RAM that this guy did, in this thread, http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/664503-netbook-1025ce-will-take-4gb-stick-2.html, post #14, and post #9 where he says he used 1333mhz 4gb ram too, and has a 1025CE.

EDIT, IT WORKS FALSE ALARM , i updated BIOS and made sure ram was seated absolutely correctly. WORKS. IGNORE ME ALWAYS

    Hey,

I just got my 1025ce back from getting a new battery and had the same problem, switching bigger RAM in and suddenly no boot/screen black.
I had a panic attack and thought I'd broken the video cable or something. Then I read this, opened it back up and re-sat the RAM and it's all good again.
    Thanks!
    *phew!*

Did you try to update the BIOS and see if you can get the same result as hiohaa did?
