hmm so tempting. now i have to decide between this, ul30vt, and the ul80vt. and maybe the acer timeline series. =-( after selling my e6400

The expected battery life is rather disappointing for an Atom - only 5hrs (which are probably even less in reality). Too bad the ION is not switchable (yet).

Intel now says the N330 is too hot for netbooks:

I had my eye on this one too! -
is this really still considered a netbook? An inch more on the screen and you can get a normal 13 inch Core 2 Duo notebook....
-
I haven't a clue why you'd choose this over a UL20A... Ion is marginally better, but I think every other spec is better w/ UL20A.
-
i suppose it fills a niche between netbooks and laptops, a balance between size / weight, speed, and battery life. the hp mini 311 is about the same size and less powerful but costs $100 less; the hp dm3z is more powerful at the same price and battery life, but heavier and 1" wider and 1" longer; and more expensive and powerful than that are the dm3t and ul30vt. the real issue, though, is how much of a performance boost there is -- does the dual core atom really give it much of an advantage over the single core atom, and is that worth an extra $100?

For comparison sake you can rate the ion around the 9400
