So I just picked up a 1201n from a friend and every time i try to connect via wireless, I get an error in my browser saying DNS cannot connect or something, (IE8) and in Chrome it says DNS look up failed. I cant seem to figure out what is causing it. Any ideas?

Also, VLC player is VERY laggy when playing 720p movies, I may not have the right codecs, or my drivers might be wack. I have no clue.

I do plan on formatting and installing Win 7 Ulti x64 and then installing the latest drivers. This is why I don't bother with doing it now.

    Help anyone? :3

Solved the wireless issue, just did networking and wireless diagnostics.

Now to tackle the graphical issue / video lag. This thing shouldnt have any issues with 720p playback. its supposed to handle 1080p...

I would say the first thing should be to install the latest drivers and update your codecs. That will often take care of issues such as that. If not, I saw a similar issue with the lag that solved itself when the OS was reinstalled (it was restored for some other reason but that problem took care of itself when the restore was done).

well, installing win 7 ulti seemed to fix REALLY REALLY bad fps in gaming, but VLC is still crappy at playback.

The low fps in gaming is enough for me now, but I've just got to work on vlc. Thanks for your reply Brett

Edit: edited video buffering rate, and now I'm watching both 720p and 1080p smoothly :)
