Hi all,
I was a non-member and searching these forums for answer to my questions. I haven't been able to get a definite answer.
What is the maximum amount of ram I can install in a 1215N-PU17?
I've read it supports the following:
1. max 4Gb (2x2Gb sticks)
and
2. max 8Gb (2x4Gb sticks)
Anyone know which on is true on this netbook? If it does support more than 4Gb, can I mix a 2Gb with a 4Gb stick?
Many thanks!

I think 8GB could be possible, someone upgraded to 6GB: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/515917-eee-pc-1215n-performance-48.html#post7115725

Yea, I read that too, but still not sure.
On the Intel Atom specs, it states the maximum memory is 4GB. Does this mean that, even if the motherboard could recognize 6 or 8Gb, the Atom will only actually be able to use 4Gb of it?
The different between a 2gb stick and a 4gb is like $5. So I figure if my 1215n comes equipped with a 1x2gb stick, then I could add a 4gb stick to get a total of 6Gb.
Just dont want to end up with a stick of ram I can't return -

On the next page there is a series of screenshots showing that it is recognized:

Yeah it supports up to 8gb, I have tested it and it works and windows will be able to see and use it all as long as you have the latest bios version installed (there was a ram issue with the old bios).
