W2...... only thing that will be exactly what you want.. 128mb, and color shine...

    It's got a 17" widescreen.... and 128mb ATI x700......

Aside from that the W1/W3 will both have color shine, but 64mb ATI x600 graphics....

    Thanks,
    Justin

The only one I could think of that has 128MB video and a good video card at the same time is the new Z71V.

The other ones are either 64MB w/ a nice video card or 128MB with Intel Integrated card.

The Z71V has the nVidia GO GeForce 6600.

The Z71A has the Intel integrated video.

    Laptop: TBD

The screen on the Z71v is the same as the screen that is currently on the W1...... it's not a colorshine, but it's a damn nice screen, some people think it's better..

I'm fairly certain the W1v as it should be, won't have 128mb x600..... I think it's staying at 64.... so that won't be an option...

The Z71v is certainly a totally different machine than the W2 or W1 for that matter.... but I think that is an option, regardless.

    Thanks,
    Justin

that sucks.. its going to be hard to justify spending 2800 for those specs (albiet in a class-act asus chasis) when i can get a toshiba a4/m40 for 1200 less[ :(]

Well we don't know what the configuration or the price will be yet..... I gave an educated guess. The W series is worth every penny... but you have to be able to appreciate quality, materials and design... along with features and performance.
