    I am gona be getting a G50VT-X5 soon and would like to see how wide the 15.6" widescreen notebook compares to a 15.4" widescreen... p

    contrary to sarcastic comments above, the 15.6" screen will be much wider and not as high compared to 15.4" screens, due to the fact that 15.4" uses 16:10 and 15.6" uses 16:9

    Actually....the G50 has a really large bezel so the chasis is only a bit smaller than a 17" laptop.

    The 15.6" screen has slightly less screen area than the 15.4". 104 sq. in. vs. 106.6 sq. in.

    Yeah, nearly an inch on the sides & base and close to 1.4 inches at the top.
