Yes! Finally a strong portable 15.6" Kepler/Ivy based gaming laptop available from Asus!
And a price is very competitive too! Same spec Clevo W150 costs around the same.
We get fance Subwoofer and aluminium case with Asus!

Amazon.de search link. Available on 17.3" as well.

    Amazon.de: Asus N56VZ: Computer & Zubehör

The only dislike i have on this is 2GB DDR3 version of 650M instead of 1GB or 2GB DDR5. Not too bad but still a bit weaker than DDR5 version.

exactly my thought. Anyone could find some reviews of this model? Or at least GT650M ddr3 vs GT650M GDDR5 at 1920x1080? In notebookcheck i don't know what resolutions are they using.

Looking at this from NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M - Notebookcheck.net Tech
Its not bad at all. 128bit DDR3 seems to be sufficent for this GPU.

Looks like DDR3 version is 810/900 while DDR5 version is 810/1000.
I doubt that memory clock is too big of a deal for this card. More gain should come from GPU OC.

BTW, this Eurocom Monster is also DDR3 version. Just looked it up.

Just ordered it for my little brother. First i was thinking to go for Clevo W150, but this seems to be better deal by many ways. Hes a grafic disain student and this laptop will be perfect for hes needs.
Strong portable machinge for 2D, 3D and some gaming too.
I will do preview as soon as i get it, before handling it to my brother.
    :)

Don't make sense to me....why clevo w100er has more value than M73-2O for example? And 3DMark11 isn't everything. In the results of the games...how can i know what resolution are they using? They shows the results of GDDR5 version and DDR3 version and the detail settings but not resolution. Maybe i just can't see so i ask for someone to explain to me the correct way to see the values...

Mate, its a P score of 3dm11. That means its 1280x720. Scores may differ because of lots of reasons. GPU/CPU clocks, drivers etc, but overally it seems that ddr3 is not much behind ddr5 on this card.

Thanks for your effort. I know the resolution of 3dm11 is 1280x720. And i choose these two models to compare because they have the exactly same cpu to eliminate the variables. Unless drivers make such a difference, it still doesn't make much sense except for the fact that ddr3(850Mhz) has more clock than GDDR5(735Mhz) and at this poor resolution maybe ddr3 is faster than gddr5. I was talking about the benchmarks of the games that are listed below and i want to know the resolutions used when they tested the games, not when they run 3dm11.
Asus n56VZ has 1080p standard so, if i'm not wrong, the values that really interested is the values of the games testing at this resolution and not 3dm11 at 1289x720. But maybe i'm complety wrong.

We will have comparsion soon. I just ordered this laptop and i see that in Samsung threads they have one identical ivy laptop with DDR5 version of 650M.
I will run all benches with identical settings and we shall have the difference shown. :)

My order can take some while to get here, since Amazon.de does not have them in warehouse yet.

    ASUS N56VZ-DS71 - XOTIC PC - Asus 15.6" Notebook

For US peeps. Available for preorder with DDR5 650M :)

That makes me think that maybe mine is DDR5 as well. Amazon does not specify, if its DDR3 or DDR5. I read the specs from excaliberpc.com where it sayd that its DDR3.
    Wierd...

That might be a typo by xotic. They had a typo on the ivb cards for the sagers. Every single other site has gddr3 so I don't quite believe xotic has the only gddr5 version.

That's funny, it used to say DDR3, but someone must have changed it. Still, very possibly they're mistaken.

Benchmarks of the Clevo Clevo W110ER / Sager NP6110, which has the 650M DDR3. How does this compare to the Samsung GDDR5?

Did some further digging. It seems to me that Clevo W150 laptops indeed use 1GB DDR5 clocked at 1000mhz on this GT650M. Clevo W110 use 2GB DDR3.
So we have 3 different versions of GT650M.
Still so far i have not seen any good direct comparable charts of those.

Hard to not get asus when I bought 5 of them so far.

well I currently use a ul30vt as my everyday pc for work. I used to also have a g50vt and that was just to big to take around everywhere plus I needed battery life so I got the ul30vt. Now im looking for more an in between laptop. The n56 looks like it what I need. I can still game when I would like but and still use a think portable laptop.

carrying around a 1in thick laptop is alot better a a 2in laptop.

True. But you should highly reconsider if the N56 ends up without a GDDR5 version.

Anyone knows how does it perform compared to the ExpressCache on Samsung Series 7?

Im looking for an 15 inch laptop and this feature could be very important for everyday performance...
