Should I buy the G1 for 1600CAD or pay an extra $300CAD for the G1S?

pay the extra or buy a used g1 on ebay. i think 1600$ for the old g1 is asking a bit too much. 1400$ should be the target price

It is quite close to $1450 in USD. Used one on eBay cost $1550 USD.

well then thats not too bad then! depends. f3sv can be had for the same ammount. f3sv has an 8600gs about the same power as 7700. f3sv has santa rosa g1 does not. if you are considering g1 for a lower price why not f3sv?

Hows the build quality of f3sv? Isn't the F series the lowest build quality?

better then the g1 actually. lighter thinner less deep. g1s is very appealing to younger crowd. some people here dont know build quality from aesthetic quality. there are less things on the f3 to break then the g1. other then that both models have prooved reliability over the last year. f3 had problem with audio dj. now the audio dj is removed. problem gone

I am more into the 1680*1050 LCD. I almost pay for the G1 today, but I guess I'll wait abit more and see what santa rosa notebook will be coming out.
