Waiit a minute i dont think i got this when i purchased my V6J in the US...
Did anyone else get this?

You did get it if it was not customized by your reseller. All Asus Ensemble notebooks have a 2 year international warranty, as well a 30 day dead pixel policy.

All ASUS notebooks have worldwide warranty. They had a 2 year International Warranty in place, UNTIL a while back, around December 2005, where it was reduced to 1 year and took away all the bonus accessories(mouse + bag) - they didn't make the notebooks cheaper but bumped up the specs.
That stint lasted a few months(Half a year?) where there was so much talk about how that was a bad move, so it was last December/January when ASUS converted all warranties back to 2 years and the bonus accessories. They did not bump up the prices neither.
As for your V6j, flip it over, it should state 12 or 24 months on a white sticker. -

I think he said Yoshi is gay... I love yoshi.

I think he is saying a bad word(compressed form of "oh Sh1t") and that he has a 12 month warranty which is gay.
-
Yea, some older ones have 12 months, it should say on the bottom of all ASUS notebooks.
-
What does this 2 yr warranty cover exactly? I haven't seen anything on it.

Here's a useful link on it: http://usa.asus.com/event/ASUS360/index.html
Basically, it covers everything for 2 years, battery for 1 year. It's a common warranty, if anything doesn't work as its supposed to and it is not the user's fault, then ASUS will fix it or repair it. -
heh this battery thing is getting ridiculous, I've gotten 3 different batteries and the one i am using right now has 94% wear and lasts a max of 35 minutes using 27 wh (i timed it) this is only like 3 months old
i've gotten my motherboard replaced as well -
2 year global warranty?
