My a8js has now 22% battery wear level for now 1 year and 2 months, is this normal? Can i reduce the % or reduce the increasing rate of it? thank you in advance.

You can check out the various battery guides here on NBR. They have a lot of good tips about sustaining better battery life.

To precisely answer your question, yes, 22% wear is perfectly normal after 1 year and two months.
There are batteries that will do better, but it's nothing to worry about.
You cannot reduce wear because it is an irreversible electro-chemical change in the battery. You can do a battery calibration for the BIOS to ensure the wear level (or rather, the max charge) is read correctly by the computer.
Besides these, follow Arkit3kt's suggestions on how to minimize wear from now on. -
if you have a 2 year warranty. call asus and say your battery is defective and they will allow you to send yours in for a new one.

The battery and AC adaptor only have a one year warranty from Asus.

ive owned my laptop for about 10 months now and my wear level is still only at 7% 64365 MWh on full capacity.

Some batteries are better than others; more importantly, battery usage patterns are different. A more heavily used battery will age quicker.

IMO using the calibration does not help at all. from what I've read from people who performed this, the battery shows more signs of increased wear. since owning my laptop, I've never performed a single calibration and i don't think i will ever. i have been using my laptop extensively everyday since this is my only computer.

Well, calibration will not "help" in the wear issue nor increase wear (except with faulty batteries perhaps). The wear is there anyway; the only thing calibration does is making sure that the wear is read correctly.
So if the battery showed signs of increased wear after calibration, the only thing that happened is that the wear was there before, and the battery "realized" it only after the calibration.
There is one thing though, calibration requires a deep discharge so that will add some wear; on a good battery this wear should certainly be under 0.5%. So do not calibrate every day, at most once every half year or so.
