It is possible but noone has tried it yet on the forums so you'd be a guinea pig for everyone.

Also, although the GTX 260M is better than the 9800M GS, the increase in power is not enough to justify the likely $400+ that you would have to spend to get your hands on a GTX 260M. I'd just save the money and you'd be able to buy a better upgrade a few years down the road.

getting one would be the harder part. and based on size and pins, it would be theoretically possible.

Well I am in the "just wondering phase" as so far I can play all my games on high so really NO use in upgrading. I am thinking maybe like 4 or 6 months down the line. I guess lets keep our eyes out to see if anyone gets it done. I am sure in the next couple of months used ones will start popping up so that would be awesome to get one for a reasonable price and throw it in then you ge to sell your 9800m which could recoup some of the cost too.

Also my 9800m GS can no longer be OC'd and it runs at 100C and over sometimes so I know its going to burn itself out sometime soon so when it needs to go in for repairs maybe thats the time I'll think about upgrading if its possible.

Thanks for the replies so far dudefaces.
