Okay I'm ordering a G1S, is 3 GB of memory much better than having Robson or is Robson better than 3 GB of memory. Also, is 3 GB of memory really worth the money? Should I not bother with either?

How much is the 3GB of ram? and no, robson turbo mem is NOWHERE NEAR as effective as system ram!

I know that you can get 3GB of ram for under $300 if you buy the sticks yourself, how much do they want for them?

    >>I mean, from 1 gb to 3gb, what's the price add on?

Benchmark wise has proven 3GB provides a pretty big boost for gaming on the G1S. In fact, I'm hoping to get mine upgraded in the future as well.

Turbo memory however, has proven in benchmarks that it actually makes a system slower. Whether that's just because it's useless, or a problem with drivers/etc I have no idea.

So go with the RAM. I would also recommend upgrading your HDD if you haven't already. I put a 7200.2 Seagate Momentus HDD.

The G1S comes with 2gb of RAM, at least everywhere I've seen it sold. So the price isn't really that significant. I'd say around $100-150 depending on the store.

Well it would cost me 114 more for 3 instead of 2, worth it?

Yeah if you can spare the cash it's worth it. I'll be getting 3GB at some point myself as I said.

Yes, in that case it is, I origionally said that because ALOT of companies... like Apple and dell try to charge over $400 just for that extra one gig, and it's NOT worth that much, since a single 2GB stick in stores costs about $200 or less.

So yea, the 3GB is definately worth it!

yea, that's kinda what I was trying to steer this guy away from!

they try to charge $700 for a cheap brand of 4GB, where as 4GB from patriot only really costs about $250, and here's proof
