So I just discovered, much to my surprise, that my little EeePC (model 1001PXB) can run FFXI at low settings. This is great, as my powerful sager laptop died recently, and I was worried that if I wanted to keep feeding my mmo addiction, my desktop would have to follow me back and forth between college and home.

I just want to make sure, though, that I won't be doing any damage to the little thing by using it for 3d gaming...

I download CPUID Hardware Monitor to check temps, but there obviously isn't a GPU to monitor...CPU core is in the high 60s while under load. Does this seem safe?

EDIT: One of the main reasons I'm concerned is because the first day I had the netbook, I tried to do some gaming with it; I ran Ocarina of Time in an emulator at 640x480. It seemed to run fine for several minutes, but then the whole system crashed. I was worried I had overstressed it, and figured I just shouldn't use it for anything 3d ever.
