    Just called Asus once again...

My mobo died after 1.5 years so I sent it in with them saying it would be 10 days tops.

3 weeks later still no laptop since they didn't have the mobos in stock until last Friday.

Called today and they say that it is an estimated 8-10 weeks from when they receive it to when they ship it out.

8-10 weeks... are you #@!&ing kidding me? I'm absolutely irate.

That sucks man :( My G2S-A1 is with them right now for a new board and I sure hope mine doesn't take that long, its already been a week. I guess I will call at the end of the week and see what they say about it.

I'm calling to ask to talk to someone higher up. I specifically asked if it would take more than 2 weeks and they assured me that there is no way that could happen.

I need this computer for school as the whole reason I bopught it is so I didn't have to run all around campus looking for a computer.

I doubt I will buy an Asus again.

Good luck Jeff. They are out of stock on the mobos.

edit/ Just called to speak to a manager and they ARE ALL in Taiwan for a meeting... Wow

I've heard that the G1S main board is in very short supply, but luckily the G2S uses a different board.

I just got my G1s back from repair today. The service center called me 2 fridays ago saying it would be another 2 weeks before they got parts. Actually it was closer to 1 week in the end. I dont see where they are getting 8-10 from

Just called again today. Supposedly they have someone calling people to ask if they want a replacement system for their computer.

So hopefully I will get a call tomorrow. I will call again of course.
