Hello, I have a g51jx with a core i7 720qm, should i buy the 920mx from ebay for 400$, from the benchmarks i have found it would be a very good improvement but it will also draw more electricity, so i might also have to buy a new power brick.

    -Thanks in advance

I would worry more about the extra heat generated inside the g51 as they are not know to have great cooling.

You might also want to look into the 940xm, i'm debating dropping one of those in my g73. As for whether or not it's worth it totally depends on what you use it for and if you will see any real benefit from the extra speed

The 940xm is double the price of the 920xm and the 940xm barely exceeds it.

My guess what takes 1hr now on 720QM will take about 45 min to 50 min with 920XM.

You are right I think. I am now thinking 920 20 min faster on what takes 1 hr now.

I don't even think that's possible yet. I wouldn't hold my breath either.
