Zydus: I think you're referring to the lowest voltage that the lowest multiplier can go to, which is 0.95V. Don't think the frequency is limited to 997, I might be mistaken though.

My w3j can't go under 997 MHz while on AC and I'm wondering if all core duos are like this or maybe just asus

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Things are still getting worked out with the Core Duos with undervolt/clocking. I think Intel essentially locks the min freq/mult at ~50% of max speed via speedstep on all of their mobile chips, since the early Dothans; so you're stuck with that. You can't really change the min and max multipliers for a chip via software, so the operating freq is more or less going to be predetermined (unless you pin-mod it or something). P4Gear says it brings the freq down to 25% on the P-M chips in battery saving mode, but I don't know of anyone who has duplicated that feat with NHC or RMC.
