My original G1 warranty ends within the month, but I got a new machine from asus RMA, which (according the the sticker) has a 12 month warranty.
Did the warranty refresh or is it still counted from the original purchase date ?

Normally I wouldn't ask, but I've had other equipment replaced with brand new ones (mice etc.) and their warranty was not refreshed. Im going to ask ASUS, but thought to ask you guys too if someone has a similar case.
Want to know as I need to replace the thermal paste on GPU and would like to do it as soon as possible.

    See the discussion in here.

The short answer is no, it doesn't. They just shipped you a brand new unit, but your warranty is tied to the original purchase.

Thanks. Is there a discussion about the G1S(n) disassebmly ? I've found the pictures for G1S, but basically need to know if the 9500 has anything different.
In other words, can I just remove the heat sticker and apply paste without any height problems etc ? Tried searching some

The disassemble guide can be found HERE. It's the same as the G1S.
