A call for Signature Modesty!

Just a general plea....and I dont want to single out anyone....But there has been a growing trend to see who can have the largest font and amount of text in there signature. While its great to display your assests, and some info about yourself, could I just ask users out there to try and keep things to a reasonable size. Some sig's are taking up 1/2 a page which makes reading thru posts more cumbersom.

I am SO with you on this. Those big fonts with the glaring red is over-the-top annoying. I don't mind reading a person's machine specs or a personalized statement, but it is out of hand (espcieally a a couple of the regulars).

If you thing mine is too long, please let me know and I will trim it down.

Actually a while back we tried to set a bit of guide lines. I believe it was something like 400x200 pixels, and then to make things slightly better it was made such as the sig only appears once per page per user.

But I have to agree, some sigs are excesive to say the least, not talking about only Asus users, but in general.

While you're at it, I request a complete banning of all signatures with the word "definately" in it. Even better if all posts are deleted containing the word.

when i made my sig i thought the smilies were cool, and used them where i could haha

 

some dude made sigs 4 free that were huge (but it was nice of him though and they were cool!)

Its just that my avatar and the text below it wont change in size so i fiil the space to the right of it with the stuff from usersigs.

As for the signatures, the obnoxiously large and 'spam/advertising' ones are probrably the ones being referred to.
