This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    ***Ok, I got a link this evening with some interesting information from WinHEC.... just a .pdf that gives a little more information on those concept notebooks Asus designed for Microsoft for their new Longhorn OS.......

    Oh, man, that is hot! And I just bought the W3V. Damn.

    Well, fortunately, this thing won't actually hit tha market for several years, until I actually need to replace the current computer..... [ :D]

    Being that we sell notebooks and pocket pcs... and dabble in tablet (mostly in the medical field and not to end users)...... the idea of an Asus "ultra-mobile" tablet pc is pretty sweet... That's what's in Bill's hands at the top. A pocket pc is often too small for what I really want to do.... I love my notebooks, but took a likely to the tablets that we seem to sell on a seasonal basis.... the only problem with them is.. well, they would always be smaller and better designed.. Bill's got what looks like a 7" display which would be awesome if it made use of a hard drive and a real good integrated graphics processor and a real version of windows xp tablet edition or something... a full fledged computer that you can can strap to your arm or... well.. if it catches on, maybe designers will start making bigger pockets on clothes so it'll fit. [ :D]
