Okay so i ran a test game on the laptop last night to see how hot it gets. it wasnt even a graphic or cpu intensive game. The game is called Combat Arms. Its a Multiplayer FPS. I noticed that the temperature jumped up to the 84's. Now is that normal and should i just get a cooling pad? Or is there some kind of a software / hardware problem. On idle when only browsing the web, it stays around the 50's.
If i do need to get a cooling pad, What is a good cooling pad that would help this exact laptop model? because most the cooling pads have fan on the bottom and the bottom of this laptop never gets hot. its only the left side vent that gets really hot. I guess im asking what are some good pads that would specifically help the heating problem of this specific laptop model?
Thank you!

Hi there,
I have the same notebook as you and I have a Zalmann NC2000.. works great... check it out:
Newegg.com - ZALMAN Notebook Cooler Model ZM-NC2000 Silver -
I have a N61JQ-A1 and this is the cooling pad I am using...
Newegg.com - COOLER MASTER NOTEPAL X2 Notebook Cooler Model R9-NBC-4WAK-GP
It works well.
I just ran a test on idle...my laptop is 6 degrees cooler on the Cooler Master Notepal. It might even be more when running games!!! -
+1 for ZALMAN Notebook Cooler Model ZM-NC2000 Silver.. Makes at least 9 degrees difference.
A decent Cooling Pad for the Asus N61JQ-x1??
