So I've got my S96J to work and it's pretty sweet. (Played Oblivion on high video settings!) However, there are a few things I can't figure out.

First is that I can't get the Fn+F6-F12 stuff to work, which means I can't increase or decrease the volume and all those things.

Also, I ,can't get the buttons left of the power button to work, so I can't deactivate the touchpad or all those things either.

Lastly, I'm not exactly sure how to get to BIOS. I hit escape when the Intel logo pops up but it just asks me what device I want to boot from.

So these are pretty minor problems and my computer runs pretty well otherwise but being a perfectionist, it has been bugging me. (oh, and are the utilities that came with this thing any use, like that Power4 Gear+ thing?) Thanks!

You need to install the ATK drivers for the buttons to work, go to ASUS's site, find your unit and it'll list the drivers!

to get special function keys to work, you probably need to install some of those utilities. usually there's a bootup screen that says something about what key to press to set up your bios. (i think mine's either f12 or f2, or both and one's for which boot device...)
