yay finally got the laptop from istnc.com, they were great.

    1) will centrino hardware control and power4gear work compatable with each other? (if not, which would be the wiser choice?)

    2) Where can i edit the touchpad settings? (i want to make it go faster :p, takes me 3 finger raises to get it from 'close window X -- to the taskbar hehe)

    3) when i press the 'disable touchpad button while mouse in use (4 button on the top-right) it doens't work, is there something I need to install to get that feature?, all the other buttons work-- new internet window, wifi, etc.

I like this laptop alot., just a lil warm on the left touchpad side :p

THanks for any answers in advance

Double click on the touchpad icon next to the clock on the lower righthand corner of your screen.

um.. I don't see a touchpad icon?, only the power4gear one, and the
'sound effect' one., Maybe I need to install something from a cd?

If you could post a picture of what exactly the icon looks like, but as of now I don't se eit, i've looked at all the tooltips for all the different icons and none say anything about touchpad.

    Thanks.

OK....... here you go.... if the synaptics driver was installed, I think the normal setting is for the icon to show up on the task bar........

    1. You can have them both installed at the same time, but I believe running both would create a conflict. I prefer CHC because the undervolting and Dynamic Switching possibilities keep the temp lower and extend battery life.

    2. update the touchpad driver here: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drive.cfm
after the update, it will take you to the control panel, where you can change such things.

    3. that feature is integrated into Power4Gear, I believe. If it's installed, the feature should work.

    Ok, thanks everyone.

I just installed the synaptics drivers and problem 2 and 3 are fixed.

    Now I'm gonna try CHC.
