Hey, i just had a few questions about what product to buy...

First and foremost, i was looking into buying an external hdd to put games/music/backup files/etc..
So what i want to know is: which external hdds are relatively cheap, yet still very reliable. I was thinking about purchasing one similar to this, but with maybe 200~300gb : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822161012
But again, this would be my first time purchasing an external Hdd, and i don't
want to jump into a purchase without asking for some advice.

Also, i have an Asus g1s-a1 and was thinking about buying a usb fan for the back vent. I currently have a zalman nc1000, but i want to have an extra fan to suck heat out of that vent.
Are there any usb fans that are "the best," or would one that is simple/cheap like this one work: http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-M...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1215079685&sr=1-3

If you want any more info, do let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Ps:
I apologize for any typos etc, as it is really early and i am getting rather tired :p

My Start Direct Media software application hotkeys button just stop working and I tap the multimedia touchpad mode button also and can't seem to get it to worked. And the Ambient Light sensor issue,i press FN+A to enable or disable it.But the Auto Light sensor doesn't show up on the monitor but it only show the manually adjustment for the brightness up and down ,i can't seem to switch it back to the automatic adjust of the display panel to provide better viewing.I can't seem to solve the problem and nothing worked.
Any help from others on this subject would be great lol

    External USB connected HD
Will be good for backup tasks. Will be slow for gaming from, probably will be slow for music playing.

Fan - I do not see any advantage. There is another gadget - probably less useless

Thanks for the info, I suppose i should clarify...
I mean to install the game then store it on the External so i don't have to go through the long process of installation later on. (I have a friend who does this already)

Are there any other good heat extracting fans out there? If not i may just order that one you mentioned...
