This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    After much lurking aroung this fine forum and notebookforums.com, I decided to order an Asus Z71v from mwave.com. Though the site I ordered from was somewhat of a wild card, the fact that I could get it for about 100-ish dollars cheaper convinced me to take a chance. I can't say that I'm disappointed.

    Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks to the many great people on this forum and to introduce myself to the board.
