I have been trying to learn more about Asus line of computers but their website is too confusing.I have gone in circles and learned nothing.Unless you know what computers you like I cant figure out a way to compare them or how you buy one if you want one???
Is there a chart somewhere that shows the different lines w/ specs and the ability to compare them?

I'm looking at a 14in,multi use (videos, photos, surfing, simple games) Would like a matte screen and backlite keyboard, under a $1000 if possible with a I5 sandy bridge.

I had been looking at the Lenovo Edge e420 and y560 but really want a backlit keyboard. I love the Asus Transforner idea,If it had a hard drive (I need the storage) I'd grab it !!!

Help,I need a computer but getting confused with all the choices!

Debbbi, I agree their product line can be confusing, A chart would be nice, but hard to keep up to date. This site has a good reputation here (along with Gentech and others) and they do present the models in a comparable fashion. Unfortunately I do not see a matte screen.

You may have to look at other brands to get exactly what you need.

Thanks,I'll check out the link you posted. Is there a method to the Asus numbers.....Like all G series are low end ...All N are high end ..All J are business class ???
I just need a multi media ,mid range i5 sandy bridge ! I may have to look at other lines as I really dont get the Asus number system.

    All G are gaming
All N are considered entertainment : usually a less power dedicated GPU than the G series and an i5/i7 CPU
All U/UL series are the ultraportables
Don't remember what the J and K series are though

I ordered my laptop from XoticPC, I can vouch for them as being a great company to deal with.

If you're in the US, xotic/gentech/btotech. I would check the NxxS series since they come with the sandy bridge processors like the N53SV.
