ASUS have release a new A2 model termed the A2XXXD.
Which puts an AMD CPU with an ATI 9600 pro graphics chip.
No reviews as yet but if your looking a cheap high powered desktop replacement for a bit of gaming etc, then this maybe worth a look!

It is retailing here in Australia in the low $2000

There's a huge trend to AMD chips with manufacturers looking to differentiate themselves by offering good power at prices a touch lower than Intel-based competitors. I really like what Asus is doing in the notebook arena.

I have my A2000D (A.K.A. 2811, 2810, A2D) arriving on Monday. And I am gunna goto gameconsoleskins.com to get them to make a 'skin' for my notebook and one for the wifes new TPG notebook also.

That picture is great, and it'll help me get a good looking skin for mine :)

    P.S. mine is a 15", 2600+, 512Mb, 60Gb, DVD-RW model for $2285.

If you want to know how it goes, email me later in the week. [ :D]
