    A2D sound card... grilled

    The sound card of my A2D produces sound crackling... basically it is most likely destroyed.
    I didn't move the laptop or anything...
    Anybody experienced that?

    I'm so f****g pissed off with this A2D. The fan problem wasn't enough.

    Jamaika, I found one message from you in this forum and you did mention this problem. You said you would call technical support.
    How did this problem get sorted out in the end?

    The A2H and A2D both have a problem with their audio boards. Its a common problem asus knows about and will repair it under warranty.

    AssyrianKing, have a look at the threads A2D cooling fan non-stop running and A2D fan never turns off.

    Together they have been visited more than 12000 times. This is unbelievably high and denotes a very bad problem with A2D notebooks that Asus never addressed and for which users have been left alone trying to finding a workaround.

    What about the fan issue AssyrianKing, can you comment on this one?

    I'm sure thousands of A2D notebooks owners reading this forum will have their ears wide open. And will probably not be surprised if you don't answer either (you know why).

    PS: my A2D laptop has already been serviced for the sound card. Meaning that I have the problem for the second time.

    Hey escape, hadn't heard anything from you in a while....you had gone quiet on the issue...no pun....ok there was a pun in there...lol. Don't get angry at AssyrianKing, he is offering to help you with your Sound problems, not the other way round, and he could be of some use to your other problems like heat etc, that as you say have been well talked about in this forum. He works for ASUS and fixes there notebooks daily...thus has a unique more global prespective of each notebook model that a single purchase end user like myself will never have.
    Your obviously still very angry about it all, which is fine but when someone is offering help maybe not a good idea to shoot them down too quickly.

    Hi all,

    im new at this site, mainly i registered because i have the same problem with my asus a2500h laptop, the problem with the sound.

    i have the problem for about half a year, dunno how long i have my laptop already, but i really want ik to be fixed.

    isn't there anything i can do by myself about this problem?
