    Guys, I have a question..

I am really in need of a laptop ASAP... and I was seriously considering the A2K (canadian model of the Z80K)

    ASUS A2K -- w/tax = $1600
    (2-years warranty in Canada)
    15” SXGA+(1400x1050)
    AMD A64 3000
    1mb L2 Cache
    512MB / 128M ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700 ( Overclocked to 450MHZ )
    60G 5400r 8M Hard Drive
    DVD & CDRW Combo Drive
    Built-in Wireless-B/G Lan
    Subwoofers/ Carrying Case .. etc
    Weight 7.5 lbs

.. but then I found a guy selling an M6BNe with the following specs.

    Asus M6BNe -- $ 1700.00 (all included)
(2 years warranty - parts and labor)
    15.4" WXGA WideScreen
    Intel Pentium M 1.8ghz Dothan
    2mb L2 Cache
    2x512mb Kingston DDR PC2700/333mhz
    ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 64mb
    Toshiba 60gb 5400rpm 16mb Buffer HD
    Toshiba 24x CD-Writer / 8x DVD Combo Drive
    Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 b+g Network Card
    Li-Ion 8cell + 2nd spare battery
    Carrying Case
    Weight 5.6 lbs.

I would love to have an AMD64 and I would really love to have 128Mb of dedicated Vram, but I do know what I need and what I don’t. I really don’t need the 128Mb of dedicated Vram .. (in two years YES, but not now). I would rather have a lighter laptop than a 7.5 lbs. one... and the extra battery never hurts.

It doesn’t sound like I really need help with this decision, but really need for you guys to see if I am missing something.

    Thanks for all your help..

    C.

P.S. My mainly use is for coding (I am not a gamer) and some graphic work (photoshop/coreldraw).

I'd say go for the M6BNe...but only if you need one ASAP. If you can wait for the Z70v to come to Canada, I'd do that [ :)]
But yes, the M6 is the better one out of your choices...better battery, lighter, and better looking [8D]

    ASUS M6800Ne, P-M 715 (Dothan 1.5), 512MB Ram, Toshiba Combo drive, Samsung Spinpoint M 40G HDD with 8M cache, Mobility Radeon 9700
