    A55V, problem with BIOS Boot (does no recognize dvd/usb/floppy)

    Hello,

    brand new computer, I wanted to install another OS in addition to Windows 8, but the bios does not see dvd or usb or floppy (usb player)

    I disabled the option "Fast Boot" but does not solve

    Solutions?

    Fast boot can remain enabled. It's Secure Boot you need to disable in order to boot off of other media. Have you tried that?

    Also, with Asus laptops, many have incorporated (or enforced, rather) the OA 3.0 lock, which will prevent you from installing other media, as the Windows 8 key that was loaded from factory will not work with any other OS install.
