That should be the A6Va if it really has a X700. There's been threads about it before, it was out in Europe/Asia first.

We got the A6Va in Europe and it can be had in 64MB or 128MB configurations (X700).

Our model is all black though.

    Hmm...wow, I'd say that's a pretty decent configuration.
Keep in mind the A6 series is more of a budget/value series... but it's still a good machine.

The A6 is more like... the same class as the Z71v; gaming on a budget.
The Z70Va is more of a business/high end model...

just bought mine today at "the source".

first impressions, kind of heavy/bulky and the harddrive is noisy as hell.

but this thing flies, are you're lucky if you find a more powerful laptop at that price.

i'll try to post some pics this weekend.

my only complaint so far is the loud fan, but that's only when the CPU reaches +55C. I just turn down CPU power when it starts getting on my nerves.

it's big and heavy, but that's to be expected.

screen is bright and beautiful and the x700 can handle any game you throw at it.

as desktops replacements go, this is one of the best deals out there.

 I haven't been around for a while, but what's up with ASUS going mainstream? The A6V is at the source and I saw a V6V at Office Depot, that's right, I said a V6V at OFFICE DEPOT!!! I had to do a doubletake, and even then I couldn't believe my eyes. They have four laptops out on display, just four, and one of those is an ASUS V6V...I didn't think I'd ever see the day. I guess It won't be long before all the emsembles are laid out at our local Bestbuy's and Futureshops...so much for being unique!!! :)

    here you go.

like i said before, the fan makes we want to kill myself, but that's it. especially when the CPU temp hovers around a fan speed threshold, it constantly speeds up/speeds down every 2 seconds.

plus any CPU intensive application/game quickly sends the CPU temp towards 80C.

i'm using centrino hardware control for power management, but unfortunately neither it nor speedfan is compatible with the fan in this model.

Nice pics. If it only wasn't for that "underbite" that the A6 series has... it'd probably be an even better product.

Is the fan that loud? The fan in my A6Va-Q016H notebook is spinning VERY slow when the CPU-temp is about 42 degree celsius.

The CPU temp is never getting any higher then 60 degree celsius, not even after a game of Battlefield 2. Sure, when i game, the fan gets noisy, but never when i am on the internet or in office.

Keep in mind that i use Power4 Gear at the 'game' mode, when idle or not doing any hard tasks, the CPU will run at 800 MHz, keeping it nice and cool.

    Some other nice pictures:
