    Hi all,

I have a ASUS A6Va notebook for a while now, and it's still working great, only the battery gives a little problem. Often when i charge the battery, it won't get any further then 98% of 99%. When i look at MobileMeter, it just won't charge, the mWh rate just don't get any higher. Sometimes it will take up to 15 minutes, and then it will charge again. And another thing, CHC tells me that the Wear is already at 10%! I have this notebook for about 3 months now, isnt that a little bit high?

What should i do, is this normal? Or do i have to contact ASUS?

    Thanks.

10% wear after 3 months is unusual - my W3A is at 16% after 8 months. How often do you use the battery and do you often run the battery right down.

If the wear continues to grow then you could reasonably expect it to be replaced within the warranty period. At this stage I would just watch the performance. However, I have seen no guidance from Asus about what they think is normal wear after 12 months.

You may want to run the battery calibration utility in the BIOS. This will reset the battery capacity limits to reflect the actual situation so that Windows power management gives a better indication of the remaining running time. The calibration takes several hours.

Well, i could work for about 2 and a half, maybe 3 hours on the battery, but now i can't sqeeze more out it then 1:55.

I don't use thet battery very much, but when i use it i always let it drain to about 30% and then recharche it, thats right isnt it? Or do i need to let it fully drain.

I did a battery calibration (didnt mention in startpost) and i didnt improve anything.
