As of today, Asus does not believe they want to bring in the A6k due to minimal graphics card (64mb nvidia 6200).

For now, the A6u - same model with integrated graphics and lower res screen will be the only Turion model Asus will sell. Down the road they are hoping to bring in something with a most substantial graphics card. No ETA has been set for something like that. There is still a chance they will bring in the current A6k, but at this point Asus doesn't think it fits the "power" amd buyers.

    Thanks,
    Justin

No, that's not the issue. Asus' north american market is still very niche... and with that come certain stereotypes.. The typical AMD user either wants a high POWER (higher end a64; turion) WITH the best dedicated graphics and a high res screen.... or a low end solution (semperion, lower end a64) WITH integrated graphics and a lower res screen.

I think Asus wants a 6600go w/ 128mb VRAM in the unit at least.

    Thanks,
    Justin

I don't see the GPU as being much a problem if its presented as it is. They were claiming that it was a good GPU but presenting it as better than an integrated solution (and pricing it as such) would have solved that problem.
