... That's the a soon to be possibility here in the US....... Wait a couple weeks as a set of new Turion models should be out after Thanksgiving... a 17" Turion has always been on the table and the model we were getting was to be based on the A7 / Z83 platform..... which is exactly what you linked to. Pictures of the Z83 can be found at our website and basically the unit should have almost identical specs as the Centrino model that has been in for about a month and a half.

I did a google search on this to see if there was more info availiable and apparently pinnacle micro has it in stock here. I've never heard of this seller before so I don't know how legit it is. Plus 2k for that configuration seems a bit high. So, does this mean it's coming over here to more retailers or is this listing bogus?

I have seen this one in the flesh and it is gorgious but indeed very big. It is smaller and lighter (4 Kilo's) then a true DTR but still too large for most people to carry around I think. Also I agree with Coriolis, the X700 doesn't cut it for this type of notebook but then there is a new one comming with the X1600M and that should be able to make it a real contender. I might even go for it.

Btw This Notebook also features a TV tuner (analog), which makes it an even handier notebook for around the house, not much good on train rides though.

If you want a sweet Turion MT-40 system,
    Magnesium Case try MSI
15.4" briteview/colorshine widescreen (because you said 17" was too big),
Ultra Low CAS Latency DDR400 memory,
80 Gig 7,200 rpm hard drive,
    G+ 108 Mbps Internal Wireless
