I have my A7J programmed to turn the monitor off in 10mins. However, (this is only happen sometimes) when i try to awake it, it wont turn back on. I would hit any key, move the mouse etc.. I would have to hit Fn F1 so it would be in sleep mode, and then wake it.

Anyone else experiencing this problem. Could it be my USB peripherals?? I have and external creative sound card and external WD passport h/d..

It is bad interplay between the video and ACPI drivers.

Try updating both ACPI and Video from the ASUS website. It if doesn't go away, and if you really care about it, try downgrading the video drivers to the stock CD version, possibly sacrificing some performance.

Otherwise just keep these and hit fn+f1...
