I noticed that my A8Js's Ethernet jack doesn't hold Ethernet connectors well anymore. Depending on the connector, the jack will either slide out completely or will wiggle around in the jack (enough for it to lose the connection.) Not sure what caused the problem exactly. Has anyone had the Ethernet cable on their A8J laptop break like this? Is there a "quick-fix" solution I can do? Thanks

Have you tried a different cable? If this is something that you take in and out all the the time, what I call the "clicker" has probably worn down. Most of the times on laptops this is a motherboard connection, though I could be wrong, which may require a mb replacement. Can't comment on the model itself though.

Yeah, I tried several cables. The laptop is nearly brand new....I think it may have happened as I was removing an Ethernet cable today, but I didn't do anything wrong or anything. So I called Asus and they are setting up an RMA for me.
