OK, so I am a new owner of an A8JP notebook, decided on this one over the a8js because of price. I get a free upgrade to windows vista premium from media center edition, which is good. Only problem, is that I want the x64 bit edition on my machine.
I know that with the retail edition of home premium, you can get a x64 bit dvd free from microsoft by calling them. I don't know if you would still use the same cd key, or they give you a new cd key. If they let you use your old cd key, if I was to get a copy of the x64 home premium dvd, would my 32-bit upgrade key be valid for an x64 home premium upgrade copy as well?
Thanks in advance!

I don't believe the keys are x86 or x64 specific. I installed Vista Business x64 using the key from an upgrade that I purchased at Costco. No Problem at all...
Best of luck! -
thats what I wanted to know! I read through the express upgrade post and didn't get any new information at least, was it ever discovered if the express upgrade keys were the same as the retail upgrade keys? AKA, would the express upgrade to home premium key work with a retail upgrade home premium x86 or x64 cd?
