    Hey,

    I have a A8js with a Geforce 7700 Go 2 GB Ram etc.
When i play games on the Laptop screen the GPU seems to perform really well. When I connect My 22" Samsung 226BW on it and Play them VIA DVI it laggs, even with low resolutions.
3D Mark 2006 Scores are also Significanttly lower while Using the Monitor, what can I do to enjoy games on my big screen?

    Regards

thats because, it has to send signals somewhere else rather than ur native screen. hhm this shouldn't be causing lagging though. does ur laptop have hdmi out? if so try that. if not consult the tv manual. it might have something to do with slow response times.

I've got the same screen but have not noticed any lag. Have you tried using VGA?

Thanks for the responses so far ,I have no HDMI on the screen but I only use the DVI, i have no VGA cable here. Could it be that its because the high Res. the screen is using ? It really causes the games to run much slower and my Graphics card. It scores all lower on the video tests because it is connected to the screen. I wonder why

You can try using different video drivers. From experience, I know different drivers can affect the quality of video output and in worst cases, no output at all. Visit laptopvideo2go.com and find a newer driver there.

But of course resolution does matter... larger res on the external will mean lower performance. The difference shouldn't be really dramatic though, for resolutions that are at least one or two steps close to each other.
